Everton new boy Fabian Delph has told the Liverpool Echo that he immediately spotted how hard his teammates were working in training upon signing. Delph joined Everton from Manchester City this summer, as Marco Silva turned to the England international to add experience and knowhow to his squad. And Delph has already been impressed by just how hard Everton’s players are working in training. "One of the biggest things I noticed when I first came here was that the work ethic is second to none," Delph said. "We cover a hell of a lot of distance in training, and fitness-wise there's not been many in the treatment room. Everyone seems very fit, very strong. "It's what we base our game on - work ethic, winning the ball back, closing down players, winning individual players and then we've obviously got talented players that can get the ball down and keep possession.” Delph made a slow start at Everton, after injury struck in pre-season, but he has started to come into Silva’s side now.
