Team NewsMarco Silva has revealed Fabian Delph is fit and available for Everton's second round Carabao Cup clash against Lincoln City on Wednesday night.
The midfielder, who signed from Premier League champions Manchester City this summer, could make his competitive Toffees debut against the League One Imps at Sincil Bank.
Manager Silva also detailed how the Club will support Jean Philippe-Gbamin as he undergoes rehabilitation from a muscle injury.
The Ivory Coast international is expected to be sidelined for at least eight weeks, with the full timescale for the injury to be established following further investigations over the coming days.
“Fabian is in condition to play if I make the decision,” Silva said.
“He will be important for us. He can give different options to me from a technical point of view and, for sure, he will be a really good player for us.”
On Delph's fellow summer signing Gbamin, Silva added: “We are here to support him because it is not an easy moment.
“But you know [suffering an injury] is part of football. It is something that can happen.
“The injury is the type of situation where you have to see day-by-day.
“Now it is up to us to support him and put him in the best condition.”
Lincoln City boss Danny Cowley says he will make a number of changes ahead of Everton's visit because of his side's fixture congestion.
However, young midfielder Ellis Chapman will play if he recovers from food poisoning in time.
One To Watch: Jorge Grant
Jorge Grant has already registered four assists and a goal for the Imps following his summer arrival from Nottingham Forest.
Despite failing to nail down a place in the Reds' first team, Grant enjoyed a number of fruitful loan spells away from the City Ground - including one at Notts County (below) which saw him secure a spot in the 2018 PFA League Two Team of the Year.
A clever, creative and energetic winger, the 24-year-old is deadly from set pieces and will be looking to build on his impressive start to life at Sincil Bank.
Stats, Facts And MilestonesBob Latchford (below) is one of only 12 players to have played for both Lincoln and Everton. The striker scored a combined total of 108 league goals for the two clubs, but just two of them came for the Imps. The others players to have represented both are Albert Flewitt, Harry Grundy, Tommy Fern, James Meunier, Frank Alford, Jack Kendall, Jock Dodds, Alec Farrall, Jimmy Fell, Ross Jack and Gary Megson.
Everton and Lincoln have only played against each other eight times, with the Toffees winning half of those fixtures, losing two and drawing two.
If Mason Holgate plays at Lincoln it will be his 50th appearance for the Toffees in all competitions. He made his Everton debut in a home game against Tottenham Hotspur on the opening day of the 2016/17 campaign.
