Everton striker Shani Tarashaj has not featured for loan club FC Emmen in four months due to 'heavy flu'.
Tarashaj, 25, completed a move to the Eredivisie outfit during the summer but is yet to make a first-team appearance.
He has been handed two outings in the Eredivisie Reserve Cup but after scoring in the 4-1 rout of SC Cambuur in November was struck down by a reported influenza.
In a statement posted to their club website in January, Emmen wrote: "Shani is working hard on his ability to work after a lot of injuries in the past.
"Before the winter break, the road to the top seemed to have started, but private circumstances and a heavy flu threw a spanner in the works. He is now back on the road to join the group training."
