Jonjoe Kenny is certainly impressing at his new club Schalke. The England under-21 international was allowed to leave Everton on a loan deal this summer and headed to Germany. He joined the Gelsenkirchen side on a deal until the end of the season, where he will play under the guidance of former Huddersfield Town boss David Wagner. Kenny has put in some solid performances for Schalke since his arrival and even scored his first goal in club football with a superb strike against Hertha Berlin at the weekend. Now the Bundesliga club’s sporting director has made his happiness at Kenny’s presence very clear. Speaking to Ruhr 24, Jochen Schneider spoke of Kenny’s early form with delight. “We are happy that he is here. He fits very well with us.” Even if he has a good season there does Silva rate him? Coleman wasn't exactly at his best and he couldn't keep him out and now we signed the French lad it shows Silva didn't think Kenny was anywhere near ready. I'll be gobsmacked if we don't sell him.

Sidibe is only here for the year , obviously to cover Kenny's loan. He will be 1st choice RB next season

Jonjoe Kenny has refused to discuss his long-term future at Everton after he was asked whether he would like to turn his loan stay at Schalke into a permanent one. Kenny, 22, joined the Bundesliga side on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window and has already scored his first goal in senior football when he netted in the 3-0 win against Hertha Berlin last week.
The right-back’s form has unsurprisingly led to him being asked about his future at Schalke, but he has refused to give much away and is only concentrating on the present “It’s still too early for that decision,” Kenny told Bundesliga.com when asked if he can see himself staying at Schalke permanently. “I don’t want to live in the future. Whatever happens, happens. Now I’m definitely giving everything for Schalke.” Kenny has had a decent start to life in Germany despite Schalke being dealt a tough run of fixtures to kick off their Bundesliga campaign.
The Everton loanee did well in the 0-0 draw against Borussia Monchengladbach, looked a bit lost in the 3-0 defeat to Bayern Munich before bouncing back impressively in the win against Hertha last week.
According to stats by WhoScored, Kenny completed 88.1 per cent of his passes in that win against Hertha while also completing one tackle, one key pass and one clearance.
Kenny was solid in defence by not being dribbled past once by an opposing player and was awarded WhoScored’s man of the match after he scored his goal.
Schalke fans will certainly be happy with what they have seen from the England Under-21 international so far.

Schalke sporting director Jochen Schneider has said he would like to keep Everton loanee Jonjoe Kenny beyond this season.
The Blues defender has been on loan with the German side since the summer and his performances have been impressive.
The full-back has managed one goal and two assists and has been a regular in David Wagner's side.
Schneider told German magazine Sport Bild that he is hopeful Schalke could keep Kenny for longer than one term. He said: "We are happy that we have him. Not only as a player but as a person of a type that suits Schalke.
"I hope we will have the chance to keep him longer." Kenny spoke about his start to life in Germany last month and refused to rule out the potential of a longer stay in the Bundesliga. "It's still too early for that decision. I don't want to live in the future. Whatever happens, happens. Now I'm definitely giving everything for Schalke," he told Bundesliga.com.
"Schalke is still a huge club. The club has played regularly in Europe, and has a large following. People know Schalke from the Champions League, it's a world club. Now we're concentrating on the league and want to take the next steps."
