Everton have opened talks to sign defensive midfielder Santiago Sosa, reports claim. Sosa, 20, has only made five appearances for River Plate but his displays for the Argentina Under-20 squad and future involvement in the FIFA U-20 World Cup may have bolstered his reputation. Argentine publication Ole claim Everton have ‘started conversations with the manager of the player’ whose contract includes an £11million release clause. Ole add that Sosa obtaining a work permit may prove an issue but the Toffees could use a clause similar to the one used to bring Ramiro Funes Mori to Goodison Park in 2015.

River Plate midfielder Santiago Sosa is reportedly closing in on a move to Everton. According to TyC Sports, Sosa’s agent will travel to England next week to finalise this move.
Everton are set to splash around £12m for the young midfielder. But the transfer is not yet complete so Sosa’s agent needs to iron out a few details before this is a done deal.

He's 20 years old , will there be a problem with a Work Permit ? I'm old now and not fully clued up on these things - just getting used to the new offside rule !
