According to a recent report from British publication Liverpool Echo, Everton midfielder Nikola Vlasic and his agent have been pondering a permanent move to CSKA Moscow at the end of the current loan deal which is set to expire at the end of the season. It is suggested that the Croatian international midfielder’s agent has confirmed that his client’s primary interest would be to permanently stay on at CSKA with Everton already said to be in talks with them about a potential summer transfer. Nikola Vlasic has expressed his sadness about the flopped Everton transfer but credits most of his failings to the fact that Everton began undergoing a massive managerial transformation a few months into his arrival and this didn’t help his cause.

Everton boss Marco Silva has spoken to Croatian TV station SportKlub and was quizzed about the situation with Nikola Vlasic. The Portuguese manager was asked about Vlasic, who’s currently on loan at CSKA Moscow and he said he is happy for him because he’s getting a regular football in Russia: “We wanted Nikola (Vlasic) to play as much as possible to demonstrate his best qualities. We are watching him very closely.
“When the right time comes, we will make a decision for him. I am pleased that he is playing regular football, that’s the reason why we sent him to Russia in the first place.”
The Croatian attacking midfielder has previously stated he would like to continue his career at CSKA Moscow, but there’s also been reported interest from Turkish club Besiktas.

Nikola Vlasic could get the permanent move from Everton to CSKA Moscow that he has been seeking based on a report in Russia. Journalist Vanya Karpov has tweeted that the Blues (amusingly, he cites Alisher Usmanov as the Everton "owner" who sanctioned the deal) have agreed to sell the Croatian for €16m.
Vlasic spent this past season on loan with CSKA and had a highly successful spell with them. His £8m move to Goodison from Hajduk Split was less successful and the prospects of him wanting to come back to Everton this summer seem slim.
Other reports in Moscow suggest that talks are still ongoing between the two clubs and that nothing has yet been decided.
