Everton Under-23s threw their weight behind the Club’s All Together Now campaign as they took on Bayern Munich II in a Premier League International Cup clash at Goodison Park on Wednesday night.
The campaign aims to celebrate diversity, while increasing awareness of the work undertaken by Everton FC and Everton in the Community to promote equality.
Young Blues skipper Morgan Feeney donned a special rainbow-coloured All Together Now captain’s armband as he led the team out under the lights at the Grand Old Lady.
The All Together Now campaign branding – along with the tagline ‘A Football Family For Everyone’ - was showcased on the jumbotron screens at Goodison for the visit of the German giants.
Throughout the season, the Club will continue to develop and deliver initiatives aimed at further encouraging and celebrating equality and diversity.
Over the past year, Everton’s work in promoting inclusivity has included becoming the first professional club in the UK to use their women’s team to launch a new kit.
Everton also became the first club to be recognised as breastfeeding friendly, while groundbreaking technology was used deliver the world's first virtual matchday mascot experience for a boy with severely reduced mobility.
Professor Denise Barrett-Baxendale, CEO of Everton FC, said: “Throughout our 140-year history, we have been regularly recognised as a family-orientated Club with proud traditions and values.
“We are committed and dedicated to embracing equality and diversity in everything that we do. The launch of our new equality campaign ‘All Together Now’ says it all, we want to be an ‘Everton Family for Everyone’ and will not stop in our mission to drive equality through the positive power of football.”
