Chris Kavanagh will referee the 232nd Merseyside derby at Anfield on Sunday. The Manchester-born official will be the man in the middle Kavanagh has refereed both Liverpool and Everton once already this term, officiating the Reds' win over Brighton and the Blues Carabao Cup tie with Southampton. The referee issued his first red card of the season at the weekend when Leicester City's James Maddison was shown a second yellow card for diving in the Foxes' game with Brighton. In 12 games, Kavanagh has brandished 33 cautions so far. Kavanagh is relatively inexperienced having overseen just 25 Premier League matches but has been given the responsibility of this weekend's derby. Why throw such an inexperienced ref into the deep end? I hope we're not going to be on the end of a controversial decision once again.

Feel a bit more confident of a positive result than I have done for many a year If we keep Mane quiet we should be ok as the others look out of confidence. I just hope Silva doesn't bottle it and make huge changes.

Would have felt better if Henderson was playing in their midfield as he is utter gash. They just don't impress me one bit despite people falling over themselves to compliment them and Salah certainly isnt in the same form as last yr, they are due a defeat like Chelsea last week who had been hanging on their unbeaten run for weeks but we are not Spurs and the hoodoo will continue with a 2-1 defeat

I don't think Silva will change the starting line-up. Although personally I would bench Bernard and move Richie to the left and Tosun up top. Richie's pace out wide could expose their back 3. Tosun would be a stronger proposition up against their CB's
