Midfielder Abbey-Leigh Stringer expressed her determination to help bring success for Everton Ladies after becoming boss Andy Spence’s fourth summer signing. The 23-year-old has joined the Blue Girls from Birmingham City Women and revealed she is champing at the bit to get started with her new club. The Toffees have already brought in Dutch duo Inessa Kaagman and Dominique Bruinenberg and England Under-20 international Hannah Cain during the transfer window, with boss Spence shaping an exciting, youthful squad ahead of the 2018/19 WSL campaign. Speaking to evertontv, Stringer, who has represented England at Under-17, Under-18, Under-20 and Under-23 level, revealed she had a positive feeling about the Club as soon as she arrived at the training ground for the first time. “I’m really excited,” she said. “Literally, as soon as I pulled up [at USM Finch Farm] I said to my dad, ‘I want to come here’. “Andy [Spence] showed me around all the facilities and it looked really good. I just want to kickstart my career again now. “I just want to be successful for me, and for the Club, and do everything for Everton.”
