Everton are reportedly interested in signing Stoke City midfielder Badou Ndiaye just six months after he joined the Potters from Turkish side Galatasaray. A report from Turkish outlet Fotomac claim the Toffees want to add the 27-year-old midfielder to their ranks despite him having only recently joined up with Gary Rowett’s side. He has a contract at Stoke until the summer of 2022 but relegation may well change the complexion of the move. Ndiaye is currently on international duty with Senegal but has already been the subject of speculation this summer, with Premier League new boys Wolves also reportedly interested in the player, valued at £25m. He was an unused substitute as Senegal beat Poland earlier this week, but he impressed in his short time in the Premier League, scoring twice in 13 appearances. Ndiaye made just 17 appearances for Turkish side Galatasaray, but his value increased from the 7.5m euro they paid for him to around £14m, the fee Stoke forked out in January. The VerdictNdiaye was a roll of the dice that failed, a big-money buy that wasn’t enough to save Stoke’s skin. He’d be a big asset in the Championship, but would £25m and a smaller wage bill be even more so? Source: FootballLeagueWorld.co.uk
