PSV director of football Marcel Brands will move to Everton this summer as the club look to push for the Premier League top six next season.
The club have failed to impress in a number of areas this campaign, mainly starting in the recruitment drive last summer.
Everton brought in famed Leicester head scout Steve Walsh to head a new era for the club but his signings left a lot to be desired.
Players such as Sandro Ramirez and Davy Klaassen have flopped completely, while Michael Keane and Gylfi Sigurdsson have also struggled at times this season.
That has left Steve Walsh’s position under review and now it looks as though his fate is sealed.
That is because renowned Liverpool and Everton journalist Paul Joyce has revealed in his recent Times piece that PSV director of football will be joining the club this summer.
The Dutchman has been pivotal in the clubs recent success and can be credited for signing players such as Dries Mertens, Georginio Wijnaldum and Hirving Lozano.
Now, he will look to be the head of a new era at Goodison Park with a big recruitment drive needed again this summer to repair a broken squad.
Several players are likely to leave the club, with several key areas needing to be strengthened.
Not only that, the managerial position needs solving with Sam Allardyce’s job under fire.
Though, Everton could have their most important piece of summer business done in the form of Marcel Brands if he can hit the ground running.
