Everton Ladies booked their place in the FA Women’s Cup quarterfinals with a convincing win over Lewes Women. Chaney Boye-Hlorkah netted a hat-trick as the Blue Girls saw off their FA Women’s Premier League South opponents at their Dripping Pan home, with Chloe Kelly and Dan Turner also on target before Megan Finnigan netted her first senior goal in the closing stages. The Blue Girls started brightly and set their stall early on. With just eight minutes on the clock, Boye-Hlorkah opened the scoring from close range after she was picked out by skipper Dan Turner. The visitors grabbed a second soon after - Kelly taking a touch and curling home a fine second after good work down the left again from Everton. The pace of the Toffees front three of Boye-Hlorkah, Turner and Kelly was proving a handful for Lewes. In particular, they found joy down the left, with Siri Worm augmenting Turner down the flank. It was the Dutch international who set up Boye-Hlorkah for her second on 19 minutes, the winger sliding in the poke home from close range. Her third - and Everton’s fourth - arrived just minutes before the break. Kelly intercepted a loose pass out from the back and when she picked out Boye-Hlorkah, she took a touch and rolled the ball home for her treble. Everton continued hunting for goals after the interval, with Kelly crowded out when sniffing out a chance and substitute Faye Bryson unlucky to see her close range shot well saved by home keeper Faye Baker. But a fifth soon arrived as Turner fired home on 69 minutes. There were chances of further goals - Jodie Brett saw a shot draw an excellent save from Baker, Turner nodded over and Worm sent a free-kick wide. There was still time for Finnigan to power home a header late on as she registered her first senior goal for the club. A comfortable win then for Andy Spence’s charges, who will find out their opponents in the next round on Monday.
