Mangala is wanted by Everton Laporte’s arrival at the Etihad has thrown Mangala’s future into doubt. The 26-year-old cost City a hefty £42m from Porto in 2014. But he now appears to be surplus to requirements with City well stocked in defence. According to Sky Sports journalist Vinny O'Connor, a temporary switch to Goodison Park could be on the cards. "No confirmation of specifics but it is expected to be a loan,” he said.

Think he's a central defender, so would it be for Jags or Williams? Not sure. If it's a 'rest of season' loan would Allardyce pair him with one of the seniors or with Holgate / Keane. He's apparently a left sided central defender, so you just don't know.

It is understood Everton will cover the wages for Mangala, with no loan fee expected for the player who has made 15 appearances for the Premier League leaders in all competitions this season.
