Everton Ladies sign Taylor Hinds from ArsenalEngland Under-20s defender joins Kelly in making switch from Gunners.Everton Ladies have completed the signing of England Under-20s defender Taylor Hinds from Arsenal. Chloe Kelly, who joined the Blue Girls on a season-long loan in the summer, has also made a permanent move to the Club from the Gunners. Hinds has penned her first professional contract with the Toffees, until the summer of 2019, having come through the ranks in north London to make her debut against London Bees in 2017. Now the 18-year-old full-back has set her sights on forcing her way into Andy Spence’s first team after making the switch to Everton. “I’m really pleased to be here,” she told evertonfc.com. “It’s a step up for me, moving away from home and I am excited. “I have the Under-20s World Cup coming up and I need to be playing games. Moving to this club, it is such a young team and that is my environment, so I am not out of my comfort zone at all. “Having met the group and the characters here, I’m having so much fun already. I already knew Chloe, Meg Finnigan and Gabby George through England and Meg is helping me settle in. It’s fantastic to have Chloe sign permanently, too. It is nice to have someone I know who I can share this experience with.” The Toffees are back in WSL 1 action when they travel to Kingsmeadow to face league high-fliers Chelsea on Sunday, kick-off 12.30pm. Having already trained with her new side in the build-up to Sunday’s game, Hinds is hoping to make her Everton debut in that fixture. “I know I am new to the team so I have to work hard to prove that I can be in the starting line up,” she added. “I want to show I can play against the top teams but even if I’m not selected, hopefully the girls can go out and get the result against Chelsea. “I’m looking forward to showing what I can do. Andy wants me to be on the front foot all the time to help us progress up the pitch and create goals. We are in the second half of the season and we need a few more wins so I hope I can help the team do that. “When I get my chance, I will work hard for the team. You don’t just go to a club and get offered game time so I need to work hard in training. I have a lot of fire in me, and I will be playing against the top players in the country, so I need to make sure I am playing as well as I can.” Everton FC
