Everton midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson has been recognised by the Premier League after passing 200 games in the competition. The Icelander, 28, notched up his double century in the Blues’ goalless draw with Chelsea last month. Sigurdsson made his debut in the English top flight during a loan spell with Swansea City in January 2012 and joined Tottenham Hotspur from Hoffenheim on a permanent deal later that year. After two seasons at White Hart Lane, he returned to South Wales in 2014, playing more than 100 Premier League games for the Swans, before becoming Everton’s Club-record signing last August. Saturday’s 1-1 draw with West Bromwich Albion was Sigurdsson’s 22nd appearance in the league for the Blues, a stint that has so far brought three goals - against Southampton, Huddersfield Town and Swansea. “It feels fantastic to have reached this milestone,” said Sigurdsson. “I have enjoyed every minute of my time in England and I am delighted to receive this award to mark my 200 games.” Everton FC

Shame his performances aren't the best currently I'm glad it wasn't 200 games for Everton. He's been a waste of money if you want my opinion. He's never a number 10.
