I heard Luke Garbutt is back training with the first team. Aha - so he is still with us - I hope he can regain the form he had - would save us a few bob in fees. That's if he gets a go.

A lot have to leave. I've seen some bad Everton sides but not ones that cost this amount of money. They're not bad though. I mean technically they're good but whether there's a lack of actual tactics and gameplan or mental issues (maybe both) the team isn't doing well. I'd rather we signed a bunch of players who'd run through walls than this lot of bottlers. Rooney's the one that's disappointed me the most. fair enough he hasn't got the legs but I thought he'd be at least giving the rest of the team a good telling off for not putting in effort but his head goes down as well. Do you think the likes of Rooney and Sigurdsson are more trouble than they're worth? I can imagine them talking to each other a lot and not having the positive effect on the others that I'd hoped they'd have. Rooney hasn't been starting of late either.

Seems the player tend to hide in their shells. Personally, I think they're both low on confidence and are struggling for form just like the whole team.

chadderssnr Garbutt should start against Leicester , better balance to the left hand side of the team I agree - would like to see both Garbutt and Coleman back starting - would give the fans a bit of a lift - if only for 5minutes, until Vardy does his usual ghosting past our CBs. Would like to see Holgate and Keane also play - I know they’ve been inconsistent at best - but a complete young line-up might show the old-timers that their day is gone, and I do like a side with pace at the back. Never really seen anyone quite as fast since Ratty was leading them.

Can you teach old dogs new tricks? 2 very slow players that should be doing better than they are.
