FA Premier League

TEAM NEWSSam Allardyce has confirmed that Idrissa Gana Gueye is available this weekend after aggravating a hamstring problem against Bournemouth in December, but Michael Keane will sit out as he recovers from a foot injury. Leighton Baines remains an absentee since suffering a calf injury at Southampton in November.
New striker Cenk Tosun is in line to make his Everton debut, having joined from Besiktas last week.
Blues boss Allardyce has also added that Seamus Coleman has returned to training this week after the broken leg he sustained playing for Republic of Ireland 10 months ago.
For Spurs, Harry Winks misses out with an ongoing ankle problem. He joins longer-term absentees Danny Rose and Toby Alderweireld.
FORMEverton travel to Wembley on the back of a close derby defeat to Liverpool in the FA Cup last Friday at Anfield. Liverpool took the lead in the second Merseyside derby of the season courtesy of a James Milner penalty, after Mason Holgate was alleged to have fouled Adam Lallana.
The Toffees levelled through Gylfi Sigurdsson after the interval, but Virgil Van Dijk nodded in a late winner.
Mauricio Pochettino’s side have made a healthy start to 2018, with a win over Swansea City kicking off the new year. A 1-1 draw with West Ham United followed, before a routine 3-0 win over League One side AFC Wimbledon booked safe passage through in the FA Cup fourth round.
ONE TO WATCH: HARRY KANE
In 2017, Harry Kane broke Alan Shearer’s record for most Premier League goals in a calendar year with a hat-trick in Spurs’ 5-2 win over Southampton on Boxing Day. That treble saw him end the calendar year with 39 top-flight goals, a better haul than Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. In that time, he has netted 56 times for both club and country.
The forward, who broke onto the scene in 2014, is very much in contention for a hat-trick of golden boots, too, having scored 18 league goals already this season and 26 in all competitions, including a brace when the last time the two sides met in August.
LAST TIME: TOTTENHAM 3-2 EVERTON
When Everton travelled to White Hart Lane’s in March, it was the home side that edged a five-goal thriller. Harry Kane scored twice to open the scoring before Romelu Lukaku pulled one back for the Toffees, coolly slotting home after his countryman Kevin Mirallas played him through.
But Dele Alli got a third for Spurs as he poked home from a Harry Winks free kick, although Enner Valencia snatched a late second for the visitors with the final kick of the game.
MAN IN THE MIDDLE: CRAIG PAWSON
Craig Pawson recently surpassed 100 games as a Premier League referee and will take charge of his 22nd game of the season on Saturday at Wembley.
The Yorkshireman has officiated Everton twice already this season, the first a loss against Arsenal - where Pawson showed Idrissa Gana Gueye a red card – before he oversaw the 1-1 Merseyside derby draw in December.
