It wasn't brilliant. I thought Liverpool were in 1st gear most of the match. We allowed them to dominate because we go there worried about losing instead of going there thinking of winning. Our fans are becoming tolerant of substandard football because they've been led to believe it's all we can do. When was the last time Everton gave somebody a hiding? Even when we beat West Ham it was hardly a hiding.
All fair points. In my opinion we have brought in a manager who sees mediocrity as being ok. And that is what we will be stuck with for the foreseeable.
I think he's just realistic. Everton are a very average team at the moment, so no point pretending otherwise and putting our ambitions up there with the top 4. We can still finish in 7th if we keep improving but I think top 6 is only for teams that play football.
