According to Aksam, Medipol Başakşehir are interested in Cenk Tosun and could make a move for the Everton striker in January. Tosun was expected to leave over the summer after falling down the pecking order under Marco Silva, but he was public in his desire to stay and has worked hard to remain in the first-team.
The report says Başakşehir could make a move for the 28-year-old if he’s struggling for playing time in the coming months. Tosun has yet to play a single minute of Premier League football this season and has been an unused substitute in three of Everton’s four league games. His only appearance came in the EFL against Lincoln City (August 28).

Turkish side Besiktas are reportedly set to open talks with Everton over a potential loan-deal to bring Cenk Tosun back to the Super Lig side.
According to Turkish outlet Sabah via Sport Witness, the 28-year-old striker is on his former club’s radar two years after leaving for the Merseyside club for a reported £27m according to BBC Sport, and a move back to his home country could be a realistic transfer for Tosun.
The former Besiktas star, who according to Spotrac is earning a reported £60,000-per-week at Everton despite playing under an hour of first-team football this season as stats from Transfermarkt show, is reportedly eager to play regular minutes again after falling way down the pecking order under Marco Silva, and the Turkish giants will be willing to offer that to their former star.
With the 2020 EUROs fast approaching, Tosun will be keen to impress Turkey manager Senol Gunes ahead of the major international tournament, and although the 28-year-old striker has been impressive for his national side this season, scoring the winning goal against Albania in this month’s qualifying games, the Everton man will still seemingly want first-team football heading into the second-half of the campaign.
As well as gaining first-team minutes, Tosun will be re-joining a club where supporters will have fond memories of the striker based on his four seasons at the Istanbul-based club, with stats from Transfermarkt showing that the Everton attacker scored 64 goals in 142 games for Besiktas.
With Dominic Calvert-Lewin, Richarlison and Moise Kean ahead of Tosun in the pecking order at Everton for the striker position, the Turkish international will be better off departing the Premier League in January to find a club where the 28-year-old will play first-team football, and a return to Besiktas could be the perfect transfer for the striker who is in need of regular minutes.

Milliyet’s Besiktas reporter Serdar Saridag has spoken about Everton striker Cenk Tosun, who’s been strongly linked with a move to Besiktas in recent weeks.
The Turkish international hasn’t been a regular under Marco Silva this season and there have been reports he could leave Goodison Park in the next transfer window.
Speaking about a potential Tosun return to Istanbul, Saridag said the player is happy in England and he doesn’t want a Turkey return at this stage of his career: “Besiktas will loan Tosun if they have the chance. But, as far as I know, he and his family don’t want to return.
“There could be other players who can join and Erdal Torunougllari is working hard to get one striker in the January transfer window.”
Tosun has yet to start a competitive game for Everton this season, with all three appearances coming as a substitute. This week there have been claims his former club Besiktas will make an offer for him ahead of the next window.
Despite his lack of game time the Everton forward has made two assists in three games, most recently against Watford in the Carabao Cup.
Tosun’s contract with the Premier League aside will expire at the end of June 2022.
