Everton linked with Bristol City Left Back Joe Bryan

Bristol City defender Joe Bryan is reportedly a target for Premier League duo Newcastle United and Everton.

The latest reports come via rumour merchant Pete O'Rourke and Football Insider who suggests that the 24-year-old Bristol born defender is wanted by the top-flight rivals.

Bryan has been in excellent form for Lee Johnson's side, who take on Manchester United in the Carabao Cup quarter-final tonight, with three goals and two assists this season.

His form has apparently brought about interest from the Premier League and both clubs could be set to test City's resolve when the transfer window opens next month.

The left-sided player is under contract under 2019 at Ashton Gate and the Robins will be keen to tie him down to a longer-term deal amid the speculation.

The City Academy graduate is the latest player to be linked with Newcastle after his team-mate Josh Brownhill was rumoured earlier in the month.

Bryan has made more than 200 professional appearances for the Robins after making his debut in 2011 and is set to play a key role as City aim for the Premier League.
