Henry Onyekuru, Kieran Dowell and Callum Connolly were all on the scoresheets for their respective loan clubs over the weekend. Onyekuru scored the winner for Anderlecht as the Belgian giants recorded a 2-1 away win over Lokeren this weekend. The Nigerian international coolly converted a knock-down from 10 yards in the the 52nd minute to consolidate Anderlecht’s position as third in the league table. Closer to home, Dowell’s Nottingham Forest and Connolly’s Ipswich Town faced off against one another at Portman Road. Connolly opened the scoring early on, pouncing on the rebound after Martin Waghorn’s free-kick was only parried. But Forest hit back through Dowell - and it was an outstanding free-kick routine that pulled the visitors level. After being shifted, Dowell unleashed a stunning 30-yard, curling effort over the wall and into the bottom corner. But it was Ipswich who would eventually come out on top, recording a 4-2 win that sees them up to seventh, while Forest fall to 13th. Two more Everton players also to faced-off in the Championship this weekend, with Antonee Robinson’s Bolton Wanderers triumphing 3-1 over Joe William’s Barnsley. Left-back Robinson played 90 minutes, while defensive midfielder Williams was withdrawn in second-half added time for the Tykes. Elsewhere, Tyias Browning played the full game and Brendan Galloway came on as a 58th-minute substitute in Sunderland’s 3-1 home defeat against Reading. Former Blues Bryan Oviedo, Darron Gibson and Aiden McGeady also played for the Black Cats in Chris Coleman's first home game as manager. Matthew Pennington was an unused substitute as his Leeds United side drew 1-1 at home to Aston Villa. And finally, in the FA Cup, Conor Grant was also left on the bench for Crewe Alexandra as the League Two outfit came from three goals down to draw 3-3 and earn a replay with Blackburn Rovers.
