TEAM NEWSDavid Unsworth has confirmed that both Morgan Schneiderlin and James McCarthy are in contention to face Chelsea on Wednesday.
Schneiderlin was forced off against Lyon in the Europa League last Thursday and missed Sunday's defeat against Arsenal.
McCarthy, meanwhile, stepped up his return to action following a hamstring injury with 45 minutes for the Under-23s against Wolfsburg in the recent Premier League International Cup tie.
Idrissa Gana Gueye, though, is suspended following his red card against the Gunners.
Antonio Conte is unable to call on Danny Drinkwater (calf), N'Golo Kante and Victor Moses (both hamstring), but could take the opportunity to rotate his squad.
The likes of Davide Zappacosta, Willy Caballero and Kenedy all featured in the previous round of the Carabao Cup and could start against the Blues.
FORMEverton booked their passage through to the Carabao Cup fourth round with a convincing win over Sunderland at Goodison Park.
A Dominic Calvert-Lewin double helped see off the Championship side, with Oumar Niasse sealing the win over the Black Cats.
Chelsea defeated Nottingham Forest in the third round courtesy of a Michy Batshuayi hat-trick. The Londoners fielded a youthful side against second tier Forest and youngsters Charly Musonda and Kenedy were also on target in an eventual 5-0 win.
Conte’s side survived a pulsating battle with in-form Watford in the Premier League on Saturday to emerge 4-2 winners at Stamford Bridge.
After Pedro had opened the scoring, goals from Hornets midfielders Abdoulaye Doucoure and Roberto Pereyra turned the game on its head.
But Batshuayi levelled and Cesar Azpilicueta restored their advantage, before Batshuayi settled matters late on with his second and Chelsea's fourth.
ONE TO WATCH – Alvaro Morata
After swapping the Bernabéu for Stamford Bridge, Spain striker Alvaro Morata has made a solid start to life in England.
A reported club-record fee of £60million took him from Real Madrid and he marked his Premier League debut in fine style when he stepped off the bench to score with a diving header against Burnley on the opening day of the season.
He followed that up with further goals against Everton and Leicester City, before catching the eye with a hat-trick against Stoke.
Having come through the youth ranks at Getafe, Morata was snapped up by Real Madrid in 2008, initially plying his trade with their ‘B’ side. He stepped up to the first team two years later but failed to nail down a regular starting role and moved on to Juventus in 2014.
His two-year spell in Italy saw him lift the Scudetto twice before Madrid exercised a buy-back option to return him to Spain, though he spent just one season back in La Liga before joining Chelsea in the summer.
MAN IN THE MIDDLE – Neil Swarbrick
The Lancaster-born official is in his seventh season as a Premier League referee following his first appointment in 2010, when he took charge of Fulham’s encounter with Sunderland.
Swarbrick has been the man in the centre six times this season, showing 13 yellow cards.
The last time he took charge of an Everton fixture was the opening day win over Stoke City at Goodison Park.
