Everton are lining up David Moyes for a ‘sensational return’ as manager, according to the Daily Mirror. The Toffees have made a terrible start to this season, losing four and winning just two of their first eight Premier League games. They are also without a win in three Europa League group games, with the pressure building on Koeman after a summer of record expenditure. The club spent almost £150million on new players in the summer, but the board are now considering replacements for Koeman if push comes to shove. Simon Mullock of the Mirror suggests that former manager Moyes ‘is one of the names in the frame’. Moyes is ‘still highly regarded’ at Goodison Park despite his struggles after having left the club in summer 2013. He has been sacked by Manchester United, Real Sociedad and Sunderland in the subsequent four years. The Scot’s ‘strong relationship’ with chairman Bill Kenwright could be key to his return. And it would be hilarious.

Would fans want him back? It would be interesting but I smell bullshit from the Mirror.

Would fans want him back? It would be interesting but I smell bullshit from the Mirror. It won't happen. It's just an obvious story to wind fans up. He's after the Scotland job.

Moysie Ha ha, if he came back I'd support him, but I don't think it would be a popular one with many fans. If he got off to a bad start can you imagine the knockers?
