Everton show interest in Edinson Cavani*Striker Cavani quarreled with team-mate Neymar during Sunday's win over Lyon
*A row over who should take a penalty raised question marks over Cavani's future
*Napoli, Everton and Chelsea are all interested in the Uruguay international, 30
European clubs are on alert over the future of Paris Saint Germain striker Edinson Cavani.Napoli, Everton and Chelsea are among those taking an interest in developments after the Uruguay international clashed with new teammate Neymar in Sunday's 2-0 win over Lyon.
PSG are keen to cool any talk of a rift between their stars so early in the season but Cavani has grown frustrated previously when Zlatan Ibrahimovic was the star man at the club.
The French side are under pressure to sell in January to appease FFP guidelines and had intended to offload the likes of Lucas Moura, Angel Di Maria and Julian Draxler.
A move for Cavani is not straight forward as his age and wages will limit his options. He is 30 and on around £120,000 a week after tax. He would also expect to be first choice, something the likes of Chelsea would not guarantee, and would want Champions League football, which remains a pipe dream for Everton.
The Uruguayan has never hidden his desire to return to Italy with Napoli but the Partenopei are the leading scorers in Europe without him and he would have to take a large cut in wages should he go back.
Juventus and Inter Milan admire Cavani too while Borussia Dortmund want a striker, with Pierre Emerick Aubameyang expected to leave either in January or next summer.
Despite the on-pitch quarrel between Cavani and Neymar, PSG insist there is no tension behind the scenes. President Nasser Al-Khelaifi has spoken to both parties and said: 'No there is nothing. You the media are the ones who make the problems.'
Midfielder Thiago Motta is among those to have spoken to the two, saying they should not carry on behaving that way for the sake of the team's progression.
Further talks have been held between coach Unai Emery and sporting director Antero Henrique over the issue.
It is understood that Neymar, who was in London's Mayfair on Monday, has no desire to cause conflict in the camp after arriving only last month and Cavani will remain on penalty-taking duty for the immediate future.
The club hierarchy though are understood to have discussed whether they should redress their bonus system to reflect assists as well as goals in an effort to keep harmony among the strikers.
