A team can play decent football and not get the results they deserve or play awful and get results they don't deserve. We do neither. As I said, I'd give him until the end of October early November but if there's no improvement in the way we play or results then he has to go. So far he hasn't proven that he can fix things for the better. Last season we finished 7th but I'd dread to guess where we'd have been if we hadn't had Lukaku. Our away form was and still is atrocious for a side supposedly aiming to be up in the Champions League in his 3rd season. When are we going to stop thinking small time and start thinking big time. No reason we shouldn't go into every game thinking we can beat these. This isn't just Koeman, this is the board as well. They're not as ambitious as I first thought, Moshiri's statement that we weren't expected to beat the like of Chelsea, Man United, etc, makes it seem ok to lose to to teams like that. Yeah, they're tough but we shouldn't have fear. I'm going off topic a bit but it's the reason why we'll never beat Liverpool because we're scared and they turn up at ours almost knowing they can do whatever they want at little ol' Everton. I'm getting bored of it now. 20 odd years of mediocrity because we have a board, manager, and players who are just happy to plod along and be plucky ol' Everton, ahh, didn't they do well finishing 7th last year. Nil Satis Optimum my BTW I hope this doesn't come across as bash at your views. It's just how I feel, right or wrong. If you give until end of October, you're giving him Arsenal & Chelsea (a) to amend things. Is that realistic? This is why I say Christmas time, as it gives him chance to change his system, and if he does turn it around, great, if not, then maybe make a change. It also gives the board time to plan too. I think so. Considering I'm including the UEFA Cup games and the dreadful start of the season. Yes, I know they were tough games but it's like we're a newly promoted team not one that's been established in the Premier League since the beginning. Look, if tonight, Sunday and Chelsea, he shows that he's playing a system (at least play players in their position) and we really put in a performance then whatever the result I'd be happy to give him time but if he tries shoehorning players in just so he can play them and he overlooks the obvious then it's like him trying the same thing and over and over again and expecting it to work. You've mentioned it yourself, it's the definition of madness. . I do however, understand the need for the board to plan for a replacement, which If I was the board I'd be making a shortlist now just in case things don't change, which Koeman is showing that he can't change.

For 10 mins after Williams scored we looked ok. Not enough to score but ok. I just cannot see where a win is coming from. Some people are hoping for the Oxford United moment but it’s not going to happen. Best to cut our losses and get it right with the next manager.

Remember when we were given a £60m overdraft with that Chinese bank? Did we actually use it in the window, only our net spend wasn't much more than that?
