Grant Moves To Crewe On LoanMidfielder to link up with Railwaymen until January. Midfielder Conor Grant has joined Crewe Alexandra on loan until January. Grant has played once for David Unsworth’s Under-23s team this season – as a substitute in the 0-0 draw with West Ham United – but will now link up with the League Two Railwaymen. The 22-year-old made 21 appearances and scored once – against Crewe – on loan at Doncaster Rovers last season, as the Yorkshire club won promotion into League One. Grant had a six-month stint with Scottish Premiership side Motherwell in the second half of the 2014/15 campaign, and spent the majority of the following season at Doncaster. He started 2016/17 with Championship team Ipswich Town before his return to Doncaster at the turn of the year. The Fazakerley-born player was included in Everton’s matchday squad for the Europa League meeting with FC Krasnodar in December 2014. Grant, who penned a two-year Goodison Park deal in summer 2016, joins a Crewe team unbeaten in their first four League Two games and sitting fourth in the division.

At 22 I would have thought he may have broken through by now , so presumably his career at Goodison is almost over
