Loan Round-Up - 14 AugustDowell scores in Forest win, as Sunderland pair also earn victory. Kieran Dowell proved the hero for Nottingham Forest as he struck the winner against Brentford on Saturday. The Everton youngster netted his first Forest goal in the 83rd minute to earn his side the points after a back-and-forth contest at Griffin Park. Forest led 2-1 at the interval after goals from Andreas Bouchalakis and Daryl Murphy overturned John Egan’s opener. Bouchalakis added a second two minutes after the restart but Andreas Bjelland pulled one back for Brentford. Dowell, who had replaced Zach Clough at the break, then slotted in Forest’s fourth but Neal Maupay again gave the Bees hope. The win takes Forest up to third in the Championship table. Matt Pennington missed Leeds United’s 0-0 draw with Preston, but Joe Williams played the full match for Barnsley as they slipped to a 2-1 home defeat to Ipswich Town. David McGoldrick and Martyn Waghorn overtuned Tom Bradshaw’s opener for the Tykes, who find themselves in the bottom three. Having made his Bolton Wanderers debut last week in the Carabao Cup win over Crewe, Antonee Robinson was an unused sub in the Trotters’ 1-1 draw with Millwall at the Den. And finally, Henry Onyekuru came on as a second half sub but could not prevent Anderlecht from losing 2-0 at Charleroi. Everton FC
