Trio Handed Premier League Debuts For EvertonRooney and Calvert-Lewin also in starting XI to face Stoke.Jordan Pickford, Michael Keane and Sandro Ramirez will make their Premier League debuts for Everton against Stoke City this afternoon. The trio are named in Ronald Koeman’s starting XI alongside fellow summer signing Wayne Rooney, who makes his first league start for the Blues for 13 years after returning to Goodison in the summer. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is also named in the line-up, while Keane will play in defence alongside skipper Phil Jagielka and Ashley Williams. Meanwhile, there is a place on the bench for Mo Besic. Ahead of the match, Jagielka said: “When the fixtures come out, you can’t wait to get going. It’s always nice to have a home game early doors, especially first up. It’s going to be a tough start to the season, as it is for most teams, but we are raring to go. "(The new signings) have all settled in well. Luckily enough we got them all in pretty early so they have had most of pre-season together. We’ve had the Europa League ties for everyone to get their match fitness - competitive games early on - but everybody is ready to go. The manager is going to pick his team and we are going to go out there and hopefully perform." Everton FC

What are the subs, and why is Calvert-Lewin playing in that position? The rest looks strong but I'd like to have given Tom Davies a start.
