Joel Robles set for exit with Deportivo La Coruna leading chase for goalkeeperDeportivo La Coruna are leading the race for Everton goalkeeper Joel Robles. The Spaniard's place at Goodison Park is under threat following Jordan Pickford's £30m arrival from Sunderland and he is considering his future. Several sides in Spain are interested in the 27-year-old, including Getafe and Real Betis. But, according to Marca, Deportivo are the favourites to land Robles after missing out on other targets. The Spanish club had wanted Diego Alves, but he opted to leave Valencia for a move to Flamengo. Now, Deportivo are pushing full steam ahead with a move for Robles and want to sign him either on loan or permanently. Talksport

If he can get a starting place anywhere it's better than being sat on the bench taking a wage.

Joel Robles set for Everton exit Ronald Koeman has already lined up his replacementVitesse goalkeeper Eloy Room likely to be signed to provide competition for Jordan Pickford Joel Robles looks set to quit Everton for a return to Spain – as the Blues line-up his replacement. The 27-year-old has fallen further down the pecking order at Goodison following the signing of Jordan Pickford and Deportivo La Coruna are keen to sign him. Pickford, signed from Sunderland in a £30m deal, is set for his unofficial Everton debut tomorrow against Genk while Maarten Stekelenburg played the full 90 minutes against FC Twente on Wednesday as Robles sat on the bench. The Spanish stopper is in the final year of his contract and though talks over a new deal were underway towards the end of last season, Robles faces being third choice this term. Koeman, it is believed, is ready to sell the former Atletico Madrid man and discussions over signing Vitesse's Eloy Room have already happened. Room, 28, would cost the Blues around £1m and the experienced shot-stopper could provide back-up for new No1 Pickford and competition for Stekelenburg. Robles joined Everton in the summer of 2013 when he followed Roberto Martinez from Wigan Athletic. However, Robles has endured a difficult time at Goodison, making only 63 appearances in four seasons. Liv Echo
