"Everton Move The Best I've Made"Mollie Green overjoyed to be latest Blue Girl to turn professional.Mollie Green says her decision to join Everton back in March has proven the right one after becoming a full-time footballer. The attacking midfielder is the latest Blue Girl to join the professional ranks after penning a two-year deal. Green has enjoyed her time with the Blue Girls so far and says her switch to full-time vindicates the decision to leave WSL 1 Liverpool for the Toffees, who will play in the same division next season. “Going full-time definitely justifies my move here that little bit more,” the 20-year-old told evertontv. “It’s the best move I have made in my career so far. Hopefully it will prove to be a pivotal one but it is definitely been the right decision so far. “We now have the chance to compete with the best in the country. I am really enjoying playing for the Club and my football. Everton is a really good place to develop and kick on as a player. “For many girls out there it is a dream to be able to play football day in and day out. To go full-time is a great achievement for the Club and, personally, it's fantastic to go back to that." Now back in WSL 1, Green is optimistic that Everton’s move to becoming a professional club will stand them in good stead upon their return to the top flight of women’s football. The Blue Girls’ showing in the Spring Series this year has bred confidence among the players and Green is itching to get their 2017 league season under way. “The Spring Series showed we are a good side,” she added. “We lost only one game and we got better the longer it went on. That gives us a good springboard going back into WSL 1 in September, and hopefully we can kick on as we left off. “I have high hopes for the team. We have a really good group of girls here and hopefully we can compete with those top teams in WSL 1. I am excited to see where we end up. Hopefully that will be in a good position. “Going full-time is very exciting for the Club. We are all just looking forward to getting started.”
