I'd bring him back if he was cheap but he won't be and I want to keep our team young. I thought about this last time after Duncan's testimonial, and was more up for it then, but not so sure he would not just drop his effort after a few games.

The chances of him playing for Everton are nil in my eyes. We can't keep him in the luxury he is now accustomed to or offer him an opportunity to win trophies, and then there is the other side of the coin that asks if he is still good enough to come back and play for us at this time of life. I'm inclined to go with this. A few years ago it was different but it is dreamland stuff that won't happen.

He is still a better player than most so it's a yes from me as it might spark his passion back. It has to happen very soon though, and maybe a loan move would be an option.

I would have him back in a flash (obviously depending on terms). He has carried am average Utd team for a few seasons, and now he has a few "poor" games, Utd get slated and he carries the can. His link up play with Ross in the last England game showed how they can play together. Although they have not done too much wrong, getting him in and moving Nais, Kone and probably Kev should go a long way to help balance the books.
