Davy Klaassen is edging closer to a move to Everton after agreeing personal terms with the Blues.
Everton have been locked in negotiations with Ajax this week over the £26m transfer of the Dutch international and it is expected a deal will be finalised in the next day or so. Klaassen, 24, is keen on a move to England and will sign a long-term deal at Goodison after Ronald Koeman made him one of his key targets this summer. The Everton boss says his side lack "productivity" and bemoaned their lack of goals from midfield last season. Ajax captain Klaassen struck 16 times for the Amsterdam club last season, helping his side to the Europa League final and to a second placed finish in Eredivisie. The confirmation of Klaassen's signing will come at the end of a week in which the Blues agreed a fee with Sunderland for goalkeeper Jordan Pickford. Everton have also been in talks with Malaga striker Sandro Ramirez. Liverpool Echo
