Everton’s board are expected to give the green light on £4m of investment at the club’s training ground. The proposal was discussed at a meeting of Blues’ chiefs on Friday. Money would be spent on the creation of 17 new jobs as well as pitches at the Halewood facility. Finch Farm, now sponsored by USM, is undergoing a major revamp including the construction of a ‘showpiece’ pitch for the club’s under-23s to play league fixtures. But plans laid down by former boss Roberto Martinez for the creating of a ‘recuperation block’ at the training ground are understood to have been scrapped by Ronald Koeman . Inspired by facilities at Real Madrid, Martinez wanted to ensure better rest for players between training sessions - and after long trips for away games. Instead, the extension will be used as the new first-team area. Work, seen as the first phase of development at Finch Farm, is also including the creation of a full sized indoor pitch. Echo

Why don't they do something for fans? What would you like to see happen? I think fans from the majority of clubs are the least important factor these days. Personally I think Everton are a long way from the worst tbh
