Like everything else, one or two refs will uphold it for a couple of games at the start then it will be brushed under the carpet. We hardly ever saw a dive before we started letting all the foreigners in. It's like the pulling shirts in the penalty area. That didn't last very long did it. They have to uphold the law, if they create a law. They can't do it until they lose interest. |

Carlisle United striker Shaun Miller has been restrospecitvely charged with duping the referee into awarding a penalty in their 2-0 win over Wycombe Wanderers on Tuesday night.
If found guilty, he would become the first player in England to be banned retrospectively for diving.
The incident took place in the 34th minute, when Miller went down in the area, causing Scott Duncan to point at the spot.
Jamie Devitt stepped up and netted the penalty.
If found guilty, Miller could be facing a two game spell on the sidelines.
A statement on the FA's website reads: "Carlisle United player Shaun Miller has been charged for ‘Successful Deception of a Match Official’.
"It is alleged he committed a clear act of simulation which led to a penalty being awarded in the 35th minute of the game against Wycombe Wanderers on 17 October 2017.
"He has until 6pm on 19 October 2017 to respond.
"Incidents which suggest a match official has been deceived by an act of simulation are referred to a panel consisting of one ex-match official, one ex-manager and one ex-player.
"Each panel member will be asked to review all available video footage independently of one another to determine whether they consider it was an offence of ‘Successful Deception of a Match Official’.
"Only in circumstances where the panel are unanimous would The FA issue a charge."
