According to De Telegraaf, Davy Klaassen is close to completing a move from Ajax to Premier League side Everton.De Telegraaf is reporting that over the last few days negotiations between Everton and Ajax have gathered momentum with Klaassen already speaking to Toffee’s boss Ronald Koeman. Ajax wants €30 million for their captain, who has a contract until 2019, but a deal is expected to be sealed soon. There are several clubs interested in signing Klaassen this summer, but the 24-year-old has set his sights on the Premier League. Everton midfielder Davy Klaassen is reportedly on the verge of joining Napoli.
The Dutchman signed for the Merseyside outfit just last summer from Ajax as part of Ronald Koeman's spending spree, but he has struggled to make an impact.
In fact, the midfielder has started just seven games in all competitions, and only three of those were in the Premier League.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, Italian giants Napoli are close to reaching an agreement with Everton regarding a transfer before tonight's deadline.

Davy Klaassen could be set to join Besiktas on a two-season loan deal with an option to make the move permanent in 2020 if a report in Turkey can be believed.
The Dutch midfielder has been the subject of recent news reports, most notably from Sky Sports, linking him with the Turkish giants but now Hakan Gündoğar from A Sports, is suggesting a deal with Everton is 99% concluded.
The claim is that Everton will receive €1.5m (~£1.3m) a year in loan fees and that Besiktas will pay the player €2m (£1.75m) a year. (Depending on the arrangement with the player, that could roughly halve what the Blues would be paying him in wages if he stayed at Goodison Park). The only remaining sticking point is the final price should Besiktas wish to make the deal permanent — Everton are asking for €20m but the Turks are trying to negotiate that fee down.

Everton Director of Football Marcel Brands has spoken highly of Davy Klaassen to The Liverpool Echo.
Klaassen has struggled to make an impact at Everton since his move from Ajax in the summer of 2017 for a transfer fee reported by BBC Sport to be worth £23.6 million.
The 25-year-old attacking midfielder could manage just three starts and only four substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Toffees this past season.
The Netherlands international has been linked with a move away from Everton in the summer transfer window, with Fanatik reporting that Turkish giants Besiktas have been offered the chance to sign him on loan
Brands has spoken highly of Klaassen, although the Everton Director of Football has suggested that discussions will take place regarding the Dutchman’s future.
