CALUM Dyson believes Grimsby Town are set for a big campaign under Russell Slade next season – and the Everton youngster would love to be part of it. The 20-year-old frontman is coming to the end of a Blundell Park loan deal that he says has been hugely beneficial to his development. His contract with the Toffees expires in June, although it is understood that the highly-rated frontman will sign a new deal at Goodison Park. Slade has pledged to 'have a chat' with the Premier League outfit's professional development co-ordinator – and old friend – Joe Royle about Dyson's availability next season, and, speaking to the Telegraph, the youngster said he'd relish a return to Cleethorpes.
"I've thoroughly enjoyed my time with the club," he said. "It's been a good experience and I've definitely learnt a lot whilst being here." "Playing against men, at men's level, has been massive for me. It's a completely different type of football to what I've been used to and I feel as though I've coped with it well. "I'd be very open to coming back next season, 100 per cent. I've loved every minute of time here, to be honest and, looking ahead to next season, I really do think we can push on and get into the Play-Offs – it'd be great for me to be able to be part of that. "We'll have to see what happens in the summer, see what both parties say and hopefully something can get done."
