Is there any truth in the rumour he is looking at buying Gerry and the Pacemakers back catalogue, so that the RS have to pay him money everytime they use that durge?

Ha ha Unlikely though given Gerry and the pacemakers didn't write it, as it was from a musical called Carousel written by Rodgers and Hammerstein in 1945.

I also have it on good authority the rabble also get the words wrong. In the original, the line is "hold your chin up high" not "hold your head up high".

In this version it says "Hold your head up high" but I'm inclined to think the first is the original
