West Ham have confirmed that season ticket holders that want to renew their seats will get the benefit of a price freeze for the 2017/2018 season.
The Hammers moved to the London Stadium last summer and sold 52,000 season tickets for their new home ahead of a first campaign at the Olympic Park.
The club have long assured fans that the move to their new ground would mean affordable tickets and now the club’s joint-chairman have announced a freeze on season ticket prices. Any supporter wishing to renew their season ticket for next year will now get to benefit from the price freeze, meaning that they won’t pay any more than they did last time.
David Gold and David Sullivan said in a statement: “When London Stadium became our new home last summer, we were adamant that the move should benefit our most loyal supporters.

“We promised to provide affordable Premier League football for our 52,000 founding Season Ticket Holders, and that promise is ongoing. “Today, we are delighted to announce a price freeze for all Season Ticket Holders renewing for the 2017/18 campaign. “It was important for us to reward the loyalty of our Season Ticket Holders, and to say thank you for the unwavering support of the team during our historic inaugural season at London Stadium The club claims that there are over 55,000 people on the waiting list for a season ticket at the London Stadium as the Hammers prepare to end their first campaign at the ground.
West Ham have only won five home matches in the league this season in what has been an inconsistent campaign for the Irons. They finished seventh in their last season at Upton Park last year.
How expensive are West Ham season tickets at London Stadium?
£1,100 is West Ham’s most expensive season ticket and is the fourth-most costly option in the Premier League with only Arsenal, Tottenham and Chelsea offering a pricier seat. But the club’s least expensive option – the £289 season ticket – is the second cheapest ticket in the division, with only Hull City offering one for less. This cheapest option is significantly less than its predecessor at Upton Park. The lowest cost season ticket at the Boleyn Ground last season was £617.50, meaning fans saved £328.50 from the move to the London Stadium. At Upton Park last year the most expensive deal was for £955, meaning a slight increase at the London Stadium of just over £150.

Are you going to buy one rugbytoffee ? It amuses me how these clubs say their tickets are in so much demand, yet they sound like they're having to push them a bit more than they'd like to admit.
