Everton vs West BromEverton go into Saturday’s match boosted by the return to fitness of Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Ronald Koeman confirmed on Thursday that the forward is available for selection after fully recovering from the ankle problem which has kept him sidelined since the Southampton match in early January.
There are no fresh injury concerns for Everton with Muhamed Besic and Yannick Bolasie still absent due to their cruciate knee ligament injuries.
For the Baggies, manager Tony Pulis revealed that winger Matty Phillips is still not fit and will miss their trip to Goodison Park. The Scotland international still hasn’t overcome the hamstring injury that has forced him out of Albion’s last two games.
Speaking at his press conference on Friday, the West Brom boss said: “I’ve one or two knocks, but I think they’ll be okay. If I’m going to make changes it will be for the fact that maybe one or two need a little bit more of a rest this time round.”
FORMThe Toffees were beaten 3-2 at Tottenham last weekend but go into Saturday’s clash hunting a fifth straight home league victory.
Should Everton overcome West Brom, it will equal the Club’s points total from the previous two seasons.
The Baggies travel up the M6 sitting one place and four points adrift of Everton in eighth.
They have won 11 league fixtures this season but were beaten 2-0 at home by Crystal Palace a week ago.
LAST MEETING
West Bromwich Albion 1-2 Everton - 20 August, 2016Ronald Koeman recorded his first win as Everton manager in the reverse fixture at the Hawthorns in August.
The Blues fell behind to Gareth McAuley's ninth-minute header but levelled on the stroke of half-time when Mirallas put the finishing touch on a delightful team move.
Barry, making his 100th Premier League appearance for Everton, then headed in from near point-blank range to seal victory just before the hour-mark.
A match in which Everton boasted a mammoth 66 per cent of possession also saw debuts for winger Bolasie and defender Ashley Williams, the pair stepping off the bench to make their first appearances for the Club.
KEY MAN
Salomon Rondon
Expected to lead West Brom’s forward line on Saturday is Venezuela international Rondon, a scorer of seven Premier League goals this season.
However, the 27-year-old hasn’t netted since hitting a hat-trick against Swansea City in mid-December.
Rondon joined West Brom from Zenit St Petersburg in August 2015 for a fee of £12million and has hit 12 goals in all competitions for the Midlands club.
Earlier in his career, he also represented Malaga and Rubin Kazan.
REFEREE
Graham Scott
Overseeing Saturday’s clash is Oxfordshire-based official Graham Scott.
The referee has taken charge of five previous Premier League fixtures this season, his last being West Ham United’s 3-1 win at Southampton at the beginning of February.
His previous outing was Bristol City’s scoreless draw with Burton Albion in the Championship on 4 March.
