Everton target Ishak Belfodil remains on course to join the Blues despite last-ditch talks with his agent delaying the deal. The Standard Liege forward had been expected to arrive on Merseyside for a medical today, but is still currently in Spain at the Belgian club's winter training camp. Everton have agreed a £10.5m fee with Standard after Steve Walsh identified him as the man to help support Romelu Lukaku. But the ECHO understands that late wrangling with the player's representative have paused the transfer going through. It is believed the issues do not represent a fatal stumbling block to the deal, which is still likely to go through in the next 48 hours. The 25-year-old only joined Liege in the summer and has had a nomadic career, including spells with Lyon, Bologna, Parma, Inter Milan, Livorno and Baniyas in the United Arab Emirates. Liv Echo

He looks good in the air, which we're bad at. Doing it in a different league and doing it here will be a different thing altogether.

Everton’s move to sign Algerian striker Ishak Belfodil are being delayed by negotiations with the player’s agent, according to the Liverpool Echo. It is reported that Everton have agreed a £10.5 million fee with his club Standard Liege and that a deal is still very much on the cards. However, it may be a couple of days before Everton can finalise the move as they continue to haggle with his representative.

Why do agents mess it up if both clubs agree a deal? Doesn't the player have a say over his agent?
