I'm thinking of getting a new LED telly and not that savvy where new tv's are concerned. I'd like to be able to play a film on my pc and have the family watch it on the tv in another room etc and maybe the same with the odd Prem game. John Lewis do 5 year guarantees so figured it might be a good place to start. Any great deals anywhere else that you've noticed for 40+ inches or there abouts? how do you send the film from pc to tv in another room ?

Old thread, so a lot happened since then, but I didn't buy a big tv, as got a great deal on a used so-so sized one. I personally use a long hdmi cable (about 30ft) and then use the tv as a monitor, but you can also put the film on a flash drive if your tv will read one, or buy something called Chromecast ( halewoodblue might chip in on that ) or none branded equivalent.

I have my pc in lounge close to tv & use hdmi cable , just thought you had a wireless way of sending it lol , with modern technology surely there is a way either bluetooth or a sender of some sort so will have a look , pretty good with tech stuff so will let you know if I find anything suitable.
