Tom Davies - Midfielder


Tom Davies joined Everton’s Academy at the age of 11.

The Liverpool-born midfielder became a first-year scholar ahead of the 2014/15 season, providing tough tackling and a wide passing range to the Under-18s in the centre of the park.

Davies was promoted to the Under-21s side at the end of that campaign and scored in the first mini-derby of the 2015/16 season to help secure a 3-3 draw.

The England youth international captained his country in the Under-17s World Cup in October 2015 and in the same year was invited by Roy Hodgson to train with the senior side at St George’s Park.

Upon returning from South America, he continued to play regularly at a high level for the Club’s Under-21s side, to a point where he was handed a first-team opportunity in April 2016.

He was named as a substitute for the home Premier League fixture against Southampton and stepped off the bench to make his senior Everton debut with seven minutes remaining.

Tom later played his full home debut against Norwich on the last day of the 2015-16 season earning a Man Of The Match recognition.

Tom signed a new deal with Everton in August 2016 keeping him a the club until 2021.

On 15th January 2017, Tom scored his first goal for the seniors in a 4-0 drubbing of Manchester City.

On February 7th Tom was named the PFA Fans’ Player of the Month and Match of the Day’s Young Lion of the Month for January.

On April 3rd 2017 Tom signed a 5 year deal keeping him at Everton until June 2022. On Monday 29th April, Tom signed a new four-year contract which will keep him at Everton until the end of June 2023.
