Morgan Schneiderlin is a French professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for both Everton and the France national team.

Schneiderlin began his career with Strasbourg, before moving to England to join Southampton in June 2008.

He made 260 appearances across all competitions during seven seasons at the club, earning consecutive promotions to reach the Premier League.

The Frenchman scored his first goal for Southampton at Bristol Rovers on 13 April 2010, with the match finishing in a 5–1 victory.

After representing the nation at all levels from Under-16 onwards, Schneiderlin made his senior international debut in 2014, and later that year played for France at the World Cup.

On 13 July 2015, Manchester United completed the signing of Schneiderlin for a fee of £24 million, and made his debut four days later, scoring the only goal, in a pre-season friendly against Club América in Seattle.

He scored his first competitive goal for the club on 17th October 2015, against Everton at Goodison Park.

Morgan signed with Everton on 12th January 2016, for an initial £20million fee rising to £24million, and is relishing the prospect of being reunited with Everton manager Ronald Koeman.

On 23rd June 2020, Everton announced that Schneiderlin has completed a transfer to French club Nice for an undisclosed fee.
