Midfielder Grace Clinton worked her way up through the Everton academy ranks.

When her opportunity in the Women's team came, she took it with both hands, scoring a great goal against Blackburn Rovers on 26th August 2020.

Clinton raced clear of the Blackburn defence before displaying impressive composure to finish into the bottom corner.

“I think Grace can be a top, top player,” Kirk said.

“She did very well tonight and took her goal nicely".

“She’s a player we’ve brought through our Academy. We’ve made a lot of signings but I still think it’s important we’re bringing through our own players".

Grace, who has undergone A Level Business Studies, A Level PE and BTEC Science at Carmel, has also represented the Under-17s England squad.

"I’ve been playing football since I was six years old. I now train four days a week at Everton with a match every Sunday. I’m also part of the Talented Athlete Scholarship Scheme at Carmel college in St Helens which has been really beneficial for me".

"I would say to any young girls hoping to get into football, it’s not how good you are, but how good you want to be."

On 7th April 2021, Grace signed her first professional contract with Everton Women until June 2023.

However, she left the club in July 2022 to join Manchester United.
