Francisco - or Francisco Santos Da Silva Junior to be exact - joined Everton on a free transfer in February 2012, penning a four-and-a-half year deal.

Born in Guinea-Bissau in West Africa, the young midfielder stepped up his footballing education after joining Benfica's well-renowned academy and has been capped twice by Portugal at Under-21 level.

He also spent a short time on the books of Manchester City, appearing for the Citizens' development side and in a Manchester Senior Cup tie.

Equally comfortable going forwards or back, Francisco is an energetic box-to-box midfielder who is happy in possession and can operate with either foot.

Handed the squad number 30, the youngster set to work in Alan Stubbs' reserve side for the remainder of the campaign.

Junior's development and form saw him earn a regular place in the first-team's pre-season fixtures, with the new boy netting from range in the 4-1 win over Morecambe on 14 July 2012.

On 2 September 2013, Junior joined Dutch side Vitesse Arnhem on a season-long loan with a similar switch to Norweigan outfit Stromsgodset then following.

Francisco completed a move away from Everton on 22nd February 2016 after signing for Norwegian club Strømsgodset on a permanent basis.
