Charlie Whitaker - Midfielder
Attacking midfielder Charlie Whitaker has been at Everton since the age of 12 having previously been at Blackburn Rovers.
He made a full Under-18 debut shortly before the 2019/20 campaign was curtailed by the coronavirus pandemic.
And in 2020/21 – after signing a three-year professional contract in September 2020 – Whitaker pieced together the finest season of his embryonic career to claim the Club's Under-18 Player of the Season prize.
He scored against Blackburn on the opening day and maintained his tremendous form to win promotion to the Under-23 team in the season's closing weeks.
Whitaker made an instant impression at the older age-group level, scoring a final-day hat-trick in a 4-0 defeat of Southampton to end with five goals from four starts.
Able to operate on both wings and up front, he sees his dribbling, assists, awareness and goalscoring as his main strengths.
Whitaker’s favourite players include Cristiano Ronaldo, Eden Hazard and Richarlison and his hobbies are golf and fishing.
His preferred pre-match meal is a cheese and bacon omelette, while he enjoys listening to Drake.
At the end of the 2020-21 campaign, Charlie was named u18 Player Of The Season. On 1st November 2022, Everton announced that Whitaker had agreed a new three-year deal with the Club until the end of June 2025.
